Frank Troia was born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula.  He graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in 1975 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in advertising illustration.  He didn't draw or paint again for 17 years, choosing instead to build a business career.  Having sold his business in 1992 he now paints full time.  He describes himself as primarily a figure artist who concentrates on repetitional imagery.  His work is in private collections.
